Two Australians buried at Bayeux War Cemetery

Two graves which we found neighbouring the Lancaster ND533 Crew collective grave were as follows:-

Flight Sergeant Stanley Kevin BLACK, Royal Australian Air Force, 106 Squadron, No. 418790, died 11th June 1944 aged 21. The son of George and Lillian Eliza Balck of North Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia, Sgt. Black is buried in Section XV1. Row C. grave 8. 106 Squadron flew from RAF Metheringham, which was south east of Lincoln.

Flight Sergeant George John HOWARD, Royal Australian Air Force, 181 Squadron, No. 420883, died 6th June 1944 aged 22. F./Sgt. Howard is buried in Section XV1.Row C. grave 9.
